Bibbli Media ("Bibbli," "we," "us," or "our") creates Bible songs, animated stories, and resources for children and families. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect information when you visit BibbliKids.com or interact with features on our website.
We care deeply about protecting the privacy of children and families. We have designed BibbliKids.com to minimize the information collected from visitors, particularly children.
1. Information We Collect
Newsletter
You can visit BibbliKids.com, explore the site, and view the content displayed on the page without creating an account or providing us with personal information.
We collect personal information when an adult chooses to provide it through certain features of the site.
Adults age 18 or older may subscribe to Bibbli news and updates. When you subscribe, you provide your first name and email address. You must confirm that you are 18 or older before subscribing.
Newsletter subscriptions are managed through MailerLite. Your name and email address are sent to MailerLite for this purpose.
Bibbli also keeps a limited record that the age confirmation was completed. We do not store a second plaintext copy of your email address for this purpose. Instead, your normalized email address is converted into a one-way cryptographic hash, and we store that hash along with the date and time of confirmation and the version of the consent language you accepted.
We currently use single opt-in for newsletter subscriptions.
Stories and Testimonials
Adults may choose to submit a story or testimonial about their family's experience with Bibbli.
Depending on what you provide, we may collect your name, email address, role or relationship to children, star rating, story or testimonial, preferred public attribution, and acceptance of the Story Submission Terms.
Story submissions are intended for adults age 18 or older. If an adult includes information about a child in a submitted story, our Story Submission Terms require the submitter to be the child's parent or legal guardian.
Your email address is used for administrative purposes and is not displayed publicly.
If we approve your story for publication, we display your name according to the attribution preference you selected, such as first name only, full name, or anonymous attribution.
Curriculum Requests
Adults such as parents, teachers, pastors, and children's ministry leaders may request Bibbli curriculum or related resources.
We may collect name, email address, church, school, or organization, role, age levels served, optional message or notes, and confirmation that you are 18 or older.
These requests are used to respond to and fulfill curriculum inquiries. They are not automatically added to our newsletter.
2. Children's Privacy
Bibbli is created for children and families, and protecting children's privacy is especially important to us.
Children do not need to create an account or provide personal information to use the public portions of BibbliKids.com.
Our newsletter, story submission, and curriculum request features are intended for adults age 18 or older and include adult confirmation requirements.
We do not intentionally ask children to provide us with their names, email addresses, home addresses, photographs, videos, audio recordings, precise locations, or other personal information through these features.
Adults may voluntarily include information about their children when submitting a story or communicating with us. Information provided by an adult about a child is handled as part of that adult's submission.
If you believe a child has submitted personal information to us without appropriate authorization, please contact us at contact@bibblimedia.com so we can investigate and, where appropriate, delete it.
The Children's Online Privacy Protection Act ("COPPA") provides protections concerning personal information collected online from children under 13. We design our website with those protections in mind and seek to minimize the collection of personal information from children.
3. Information Collected When You Visit
Bibbli does not use Google Analytics or another behavioral analytics service on BibbliKids.com.
Our application does not create advertising cookies, analytics cookies, local-storage tracking identifiers, or similar persistent identifiers when you simply visit the website.
Like virtually all websites, our hosting provider, Netlify, necessarily receives certain technical information when your browser requests the website. This may include IP address, browser or device information, requested URL, date and time of the request, and response information.
This information is processed by Netlify as part of providing website hosting, security, content delivery, and related infrastructure services. Bibbli's application does not separately store visitor IP addresses or user-agent information.
4. YouTube Videos
Bibbli uses YouTube to host and play our videos.
We have designed the website so that simply visiting a page containing a Bibbli video does not automatically connect your browser to YouTube. Video preview images are hosted locally by Bibbli.
When you intentionally select Play, the website loads the video from YouTube using YouTube's privacy-enhanced embed domain, youtube-nocookie.com.
At that point, your browser connects to YouTube/Google. YouTube or Google may receive technical information such as your IP address, browser information, the video being requested, and referring-page information, and their own privacy practices apply to that interaction.
Bibbli does not control the information YouTube processes after you choose to play a video.
5. Google reCAPTCHA
We use Google reCAPTCHA on our adult newsletter subscription form to help prevent spam and automated submissions.
reCAPTCHA does not load simply because you visit BibbliKids.com. It is loaded after a visitor begins entering a valid email address into the newsletter form.
When reCAPTCHA loads, Google may receive information such as your IP address, browser and device signals, and interaction information and may use cookies or similar technologies according to Google's own privacy practices.
The newsletter form is intended for adults age 18 or older.
6. How We Use Information
We use information submitted to Bibbli to send Bibbli news and updates requested by adult subscribers; respond to questions and requests; fulfill curriculum requests; review and moderate submitted stories; publish approved stories according to the submitter's chosen attribution preference; communicate with people about their submissions; maintain records of required confirmations and permissions; operate, protect, and maintain BibbliKids.com; and comply with applicable legal obligations.
We do not use information collected through BibbliKids.com for behavioral or targeted advertising.
7. When Information Is Shared With Service Providers
We use a limited number of service providers to operate BibbliKids.com.
Netlify provides website hosting, serverless functions, and data storage.
MailerLite manages our adult newsletter subscriptions and email communications.
Google provides reCAPTCHA for spam prevention on the newsletter form.
YouTube/Google provides video hosting and playback when a visitor intentionally chooses to play a video.
Namecheap Private Email provides email infrastructure used to deliver administrative notifications associated with story submissions.
These providers may process information as necessary to provide their services and according to their own privacy policies and terms.
We may also disclose information if reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect our rights or users, investigate fraud or security issues, or respond to a lawful request.
8. Sale of Personal Information and Advertising
Bibbli does not sell personal information.
We do not use advertising pixels, behavioral advertising networks, retargeting pixels, or cross-site tracking technologies on BibbliKids.com.
We do not share personal information for behavioral or targeted advertising.
Our current website contains no Google Ads, Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel, or similar advertising trackers.
9. Cookies and Similar Technologies
Bibbli's website code does not create cookies or browser-storage identifiers for ordinary visitors simply browsing the site.
Third-party services may use cookies or similar technologies after you intentionally interact with them. For example, Google may use them when reCAPTCHA is activated through newsletter interaction, and YouTube/Google may use them after you choose to play a YouTube-hosted video.
Those technologies are governed by the respective provider's practices.
Because third-party technologies and provider practices can change, we may update this policy as our services evolve.
10. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including providing requested services, maintaining appropriate business and consent records, resolving disputes, and meeting legal obligations.
Story submissions and curriculum requests currently remain in our systems until they are deleted by Bibbli.
Newsletter subscriber information is maintained through MailerLite and is subject to MailerLite's retention practices.
Newsletter age-confirmation records may be retained as a record that the adult confirmation was completed.
Information maintained by service providers may also be subject to their own retention schedules.
We aim to retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected.
11. Your Choices and Requests
You may contact us to ask what personal information you have submitted to Bibbli, request correction of information, request deletion of a story or curriculum submission, withdraw a submitted story from future publication, or ask a question about our privacy practices.
Newsletter subscribers may unsubscribe using the unsubscribe link included in Bibbli emails.
If you ask us to delete a newsletter age-confirmation record, we can locate the record by applying the same one-way hashing process to the email address you provide and delete the corresponding record.
Some information may be retained where reasonably necessary or required by law.
To make a privacy request, email contact@bibblimedia.com.
We may need to take reasonable steps to verify that a request relates to you or information you are authorized to manage.
12. Information About Children Submitted by Parents or Guardians
Parents and guardians may sometimes share stories with us that include information about their children.
Before submitting a story involving a child, the submitter must agree to our Story Submission Terms, including confirming that they are the parent or legal guardian of any child mentioned.
If a story is approved for publication, we may edit it for grammar, length, clarity, privacy, or suitability while preserving its overall meaning.
Parents and guardians may contact us at contact@bibblimedia.com if they want us to review or remove a published story involving their family.
13. Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures intended to protect information submitted through BibbliKids.com.
Among other measures, sensitive administrative credentials are kept on the server rather than exposed in the public website, private submissions are separated from information made publicly available, and administrative deletion and moderation functions require authentication.
No method of transmitting or storing information online can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
14. Links and Third-Party Services
BibbliKids.com may contain links to websites or services operated by others.
When you leave BibbliKids.com or intentionally interact with a third-party service, that provider's privacy policy and practices may apply. We encourage parents and adults to review the privacy practices of services they choose to use.
15. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as Bibbli grows, our website changes, or our legal obligations change.
When we make changes, we will update the Last Updated date at the top of this policy. If a change materially affects how we handle information, we may provide additional notice where appropriate.
